Part 1 of our interview with Thomas dives into the true role of a music supervisor and how artists can improve their chances in the world of sync. In Part II, Thomas shares more about the importance of mentors and ways to make sure your pitch emails aren’t ignored.


9. Composer Gabriel Mann on A Million Little Things

Composer Gabriel Mann discusses the original music and nostalgic covers featured on ABC’s A Million Little Things. We dive deep into his process, and discuss his collaboration with showrunner D.J. Nash and music supervisor Billy Gottlieb creating the sound of the breakout hit drama.


8. A Bittersweet Farewell: Favorite Music Moments from Shadowhunters

Music supervisor Lindsay Wolfington walks us through her favorite music moments as Freeform’s Shadowhunters comes to an end. 5. Cult Hit Show Letterkenny Puts Canadian Indie Artists in the Spotlight

Originally a web series turned Canadian television show with a distinctly Canadian indie soundtrack, Letterkenny began streaming on Hulu and introduced US fans to the Canadian bands and artists featured in the show. Music supervisor Cody Patridge of Supergroup Sonic Branding Co. gave us the inside scoop on the soundtrack, local artists and working with show creator/star Jared Keeso.


4. Fan Favorites: Most Popular Songs from Euphoria

Euphoria was a huge deal this year, not only for fans but for music as well. Music supervisor Jen Malone and show composer Labrinth incorporated over 100 licensed and original songs and score across the 8-episode season. Labrinth’s score–at the time unreleased–included some of the most sought after tracks on Tunefind for the entire year. This post lists the top 20 fan favorite songs from Euphoria.


3. Popular Songs from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

We list the top songs from Part 1 and Part 2 of the dark reimagining of the classic teen witch tale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas discusses the vintage sound including tracks from composer Adam Taylor and cast performances. After the first season, fans were eager for a soundtrack album. Asked and answered, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Season 1 album was released on the same day as the season 2 premiere on Netflix.


2. Sex Education Will School You in Music, Too

The Netflix original series from the UK broke Tunefind records for traffic on a new show premiere. With an eclectic soundtrack under the music supervision of Matt Biffa and Ciara Elwis and original score by Oli Julian, we run through the fan favorites from Sex Education. Numerous songs by American rocker Ezra Furman – some previously released, some covers, and some still unreleased –  had fans going wild, so you’ll see more about Sex Education as we continue Tunefind’s Best of 2019 coverage.


1. The Music of Black Mirror: Bandersnatch

Choose your own adventure, and choose your own soundtrack? With over a trillion combinations of this 1980s-set story, viewers make decisions that impact the direction and potential outcome. One of those course-altering decisions: what song should the main character listen to on the bus? Options: Hold Me Now by Thompson Twins or Here Comes the Rain Again by Eurythmics. Which did you choose?

Music supervisor Chris Mollere walks us through his favorite music moments from each season of the show, plus you can enjoy the Spotify playlist of his favorites.

The Lumineers Release Scotland, Iconic Reign Theme Song

After literally years of being one of the most popular unreleased songs on Tunefind, The Lumineers finally released ‘Scotland.’ Tunefind helped announce the release. And wow, are fans happy to finally be able to get this one!

Acclaimed series The Leftovers had a cult following for not only the powerful storytelling, but also for a killer soundtrack curated by music supervisor Liza Richardson. With the series finale, Tunefind looked back at the most popular songs from the show.

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before‘s Soundtrack Success Story

Based on the interest Tunefind still sees – well over a year later – for the soundtrack for TATBILB, some of y’all must be doing a monthly rewatch party. Don’t worry, we’ll have the soundtrack for To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You (the sequel) all ready for you come February 2020.
