Fischerspooner is a duo formed in 1998 by Warren Fischer, a classically trained musician, and Casey Spooner, a video-artist and experimental theater performer. Warren and Casey met at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The two multi-media artists draw inspiration from 1980s synth and dance pop.

‘Emerge’ was Fischerspooner’s first hit single, released on the duo’s debut album, #1, in 2001. Fischerspooner released three other albums after #1, Odyssey (2005), Entertainment (2009) and SIR (2018). Over the years, Fischerspooner grew from a duo to a band with guitar, keyboards, and additional vocalists. The group announced their breakup via Instagram in October 2019.

‘Emerge’ has appeared on TV series Nip/Tuck and the video game Gran Turismo 4. A mashup with Billy Squier’s ‘Everybody Wants You’ was featured on the original Queer Eye series soundtrack.
