10. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Wins Third Emmy for Music Supervision

The Emmy category for Music Supervision was introduced four years ago The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has taken home the top prize three years in a row. Music supervisor Robin Urdang shares some highlights of the latest season, including period placements and elaborate on camera musical numbers.


9. Music Paints A Vivid Picture in Gentefied

Music Supervisor Garrett McElver of SuperMusicVision shares his experience curating the music of Gentefied. The series follows three Mexican-American cousins balancing the pursuit of the American dream while honoring their cultural heritage. Gentefied highlights a Latinx sound combined with 90s L.A. hip-hop including music from SWV, Santi Mostaffa, and Y La Bamba.


8. Lucifer Season 5: Music Supervisor Justin Kamps’ Favorite Music Moments

Lucifans are a different breed, resurrecting the series to Netflix and pushing songs from the latest season to the top of Tunefind’s charts over and over again. Music Supervisor Justin Kamps of Monster Sector Music Supervision shares his favorite songs from Lucifer season 5 and we take a look at the Lucifans’ top 10. Kamps gives an in-depth look into his top 5 favorite moments and his gratitude to the series’ diehard fans.


7. After We Collided‘s Seductive Soundtrack

The sequel to 2019’s After went absolutely wild on Tunefind. Fans were at the ready to track down all the licensed songs from music supervisors Josh Kessler and Dylan Bostick, as well as original score from composer Justin Burnett. The music team described their top music moments, the character development through the soundtrack, and the emotional feedback from fans.

6. Top Movie Soundtracks of 2019

Each year, the Tunefind team compiles the data for the best movie soundtracks. In 2019, big budget superhero films, coming-of-age stories and Netflix original movies featured artists like Lizzo, Andy Grammer, Post Malone, and Swae Lee. 5. Fan Favorites: Most Popular Songs from 365 Days

A Polish erotic drama 365 dni (aka 365 Days) was a sleeper mega-hit this year. Based on a novel by Blanka Lipinska, the Netflix film featured a steamy soundtrack that included songs from the leading man Don Massimo (played by Michele Morrone) and artists like The Venice Connection and Everybody Loves an Outlaw.


4. Fan Favorites: Songs from Netflix’s The Kissing Booth

Ahead of the Netflix release of The Kissing Booth 2, fans were reliving every music moment from the original 2018 The Kissing Booth. The top 10 songs from The Kissing Booth helped build the excitement for the at-the-time impending sequel soundtrack.

3. Top TV Songs of 2019

Each year, the Tunefind team compiles the data for the overall top TV songs. In 2019, shows from a variety of TV networks and streaming services made the top 10 list. Fan favorites included artists like AG and Claire Wyndham, composer Labrinth, and Freya Ridings. Stay tuned for the Top TV Songs of 2020. Coming soon!


2. The Umbrella Academy Season 2

The latest season of the anti-superhero Netflix hit The Umbrella Academy completely took over Tunefind’s trending music. The soundtrack featured nostalgic tracks from the 50s/60s era, along with some unique cover songs and a new original song from the Dark Horse Comics graphic novel author Gerard Way, formerly of My Chemical Romance.


1. P.S. You’ll Love the Soundtrack of TATB 2

Another sequel with another hugely popular soundtrack. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before… was a massive hit for music supervisors Laura Webb and Lindsay Wolfington and took over Tunefind’s trending music charts. The second installment, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, took it to another level with six brand new songs created for the sequel, which featured over 30 songs. You’ll recognize Ashe’s mega hit, along with a callback to Anna of the North, featured in the first film.

While not technically from 2020, these articles still have huge traffic as interest lives on through this past year.

Our three-part series about the music of The Vampire Diaries continues to draw excitement from a LOT of fans of the show, making it one of our top visited articles this year. Music supervisor Chris Mollere walks us through his favorite music moments from each season of the show, plus you can enjoy the Spotify playlist of his favorites.

Fan Favorites: Most Popular Songs from Euphoria

Euphoria was a huge deal last year, not only for fans but for music as well. Music supervisor Jen Malone and show composer Labrinth incorporated over 100 licensed and original songs and score across the 8-episode season. Labrinth’s score–at the time unreleased–included some of the most sought after tracks on Tunefind for the entire year. This post lists the top 20 fan favorite songs from Euphoria.

The Music of Black Mirror: Bandersnatch

Choose your own adventure, and choose your own soundtrack? With over a trillion combinations of this 1980s-set story, viewers make decisions that impact the direction and potential outcome. One of those course-altering decisions: what song should the main character listen to on the bus? Options: Hold Me Now by Thompson Twins or Here Comes the Rain Again by Eurythmics.
