Senior React Frontend Developer

About Us

We’re a small team with a music-related site that’s loved and used by millions of real people each month. We’ve dominated our niche since 2005. When you see it, you’ll think: ah, that’s both cool and useful.

The site is built on React / Next.js with a PHP / Laravel backend (APIs and admin; handled by our backend dev). We pride ourselves on building a fast, beautiful, and reliable service. We’re looking for someone who is proud of their work to continue what we’ve started.

About the Job

We’re seeking a Senior React Frontend engineer for a full time contract position, pay commensurate with experience. Location is flexible, but must be able to coordinate ~4 hrs of overlap with business hours in the Central European time zone. Depending on location, this has the potential to become to an employee role.

Seeking someone experienced, thoughtful, pragmatic, collaborative, detail-oriented, and excited to jump in and crank through some critical work. We’ll give you all the support you need, but expect you to dive in and own large parts of our application.Key initiatives include completing our migration to Next.js, optimizing for site speed, building out new content sections, and product enhancements like new user-engagement features. We manage projects using a private Github repository and Kanban boards. Our specifications are short and to the point. Your code will go live on the site as soon as it’s ready — no long release cycles.

About You

The ideal candidate will be able to show us what they’ve done using the technologies listed above. Honesty and strong communication skills are critical. Comfort with Github, pull requests, and the git toolchain generally is important — we’ll ask for your Github username when we consider your application.

Content and Community Coordinator

About Us

Tunefind is the biggest website dedicated to the music heard on TV and in films. Each month we have millions of visitors checking out the music from over 2400 TV shows, over 6000 movies, and over 700 video games. We work with more than 250 music supervisors and also have user-submitted and verified songs. You can read more of our backstory here

About You

You’re meticulous and detail-oriented, enjoy research, and have excellent written English and strong communication skills. Navigating customer support inquiries and fostering a positive, helpful online community are fun challenges for you. You’re excited to hunt down music, and enjoy helping others do the same. You keep an eye on trends and love to stay on top of what’s happening in music, tv, movies, video games, advertising, and entertainment. You’re responsible and discreet with sensitive information. You’re happy and productive while working remotely, using Slack and email to manage team communication. 

About the Job

Tunefind is growing fast and is looking for an energetic team member to support our user community and our expansion into covering music featured in advertising. This is a remote, full time position, ideally based in the US or UK.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing official song data provided to Tunefind by music supervisors and industry insiders.
  • Validating user-submitted data using official sources. 
  • Monitoring industry news to ensure Tunefind has all relevant film, TV, video game titles, and high profile ads included on the site.
  • Daily monitoring of site activity to help identify trending content, hard-to-find songs requiring official input from music supervisors, unreleased tracks in high demand for artist/label notification, user feedback and more. 
  • Representing Tunefind on website Q&A to assist users, ensure everyone is following community guidelines, and that data is being entered accurately. 
  • Responding to user support inquiries submitted via email, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram.
